The Daily Bugle — Interactive Front Page
A fan-made concept site for the fictional Daily Bugle: a dense newspaper layout set in type of the period, a ticker, weather, adverts — and an article sheet that lifts off the front page when a headline is opened and settles back when it is closed. English and Ukrainian. Built and deployed as a live static site.

Problem
Most "newspaper" sites are a grid with a serif. The object itself — a sheet of paper with a hierarchy, a fold, an inside page — is what makes a front page readable, and it is what a grid loses.
Idea
Treat the page as an object. The front page is composed like a broadsheet, and every article is a physical sheet: it lifts, shows its own masthead and date, can be read, and goes back where it came from. The motion is short and has weight; nothing floats.
Experience
- Open any headline into an article sheet over the front page, and close it back
- Read the front page in English or Ukrainian
- Ticker, weather and section navigation that stay in character
- The whole page on a phone as a single column that keeps the hierarchy
Result
